About Us

We are here to guide you based on who you are & what you would like out of life. There are many elements we can explore, but every person is the captain of their own ship. Whilst the vessel may be different and the captain unique, the skies under which we sail are unchanging. This is our domain. Let us embark...

Our History

Brad McWalter, CFP®

Brad started his financial advisory career at Liberty Group in 2012. He went on to open the FSP in 2019 (McWalter F&A), the objective being to further diversify the offering to his clients. From the beginning of his career, he has been involved in building & optimising his clients’ financial portfolios and continues to provide the same dedication to them, but now with a broader range of services and solutions. Originally qualified as a computer systems engineer, Brad places an emphasis on the use of technology in the FSP’s practice. Requalifying with a postgraduate qualification in financial planning and acquiring the coveted CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, he has taken the time to ensure that both ethics & experience are at the fore front of his modus operandi.

Warren Fialkov, CA(SA)

When it comes to open water swimming & surf lifesaving, you're bound to come across this name in conversation. Having grown up in Sea Point, he's been around water for most of his life. After graduating from UCT and completing articles with Ernst & Young overseas, he became exposed to other large multi-nationals such as Deutsche Bank. Arriving back in South Africa, he worked at Capitec & Old Mutual to name but a few. Stemming from the family profession of investment & tax consultancy, he joined Liberty to gain experience as a Financial Advisor. In 2019, he joined McWalter Financial & Advisory with allied objectives & ethics.

Warren is deliberative, an idea generator, and able to relate to all people, in the process building a solid relationship based on good will. With his analytical nature, and by employing relevant data & information, he uses logic to seek out new ideas. He has found this to produce an inherently good judgement from a management perspective. Being a careful thinker himself and through his professional role as fiduciary, he enjoys the responsibility of helping others to think through their decisions.

Outside of the office, he's either an Open Water Coach & Organiser, or husband to Andrea and dad to Leah.
